01 — Non-negotiable
Mandatory Gear
Helmet
Minimum standard EN1078. Less than 3 years old, undamaged, properly adjusted.
Full-face helmet meeting ASTM F1952-DH strongly recommended for trail riding.

Hydraulic Disc Brakes
Two functioning hydraulic disc brakes, sufficient pad material to stop on descents.
Checked at check-in by the Mo'Bike team.
Non-compliant brakes = no trail access.
⚠ MandatoryNon-compliant brakes = no trail access.
No gear, no access
If a Mo'Bike team member deems your equipment unsafe or non-compliant, access to trails
and the 4×4 shuttle will be refused. No exceptions.
02 — Strongly recommended
Protection Gear
Strongly recommended on red and black trails.
Gloves
Full-finger MTB gloves. Essential for grip, vibration absorption, and palm protection in a fall.

Goggles or cycling glasses. Dust and debris are common on forest trails. Goggles pair best with full-face helmets.

Knee and elbow pads minimum. Spine protector or full armour jacket for red and black-level trails.

Bike Requirements
Permitted bikes

✓Full suspension MTB — modern, long-travel, hydraulic disc brakes

✓E-Bikes (EAPC class) — motor must not exceed 15.5 mph. No throttle assist.

✓Giant rentals on site — adults + children 24". Serviced daily.
Not permitted
- ✗Hybrid, gravel, cyclocross, BMX, hardtail
- ✗Drop bars
- ✗Toe strap / toe clip pedals
- ✗Fixed child carriers (front or rear)
- ✗E-bikes with throttle assist or motor above 15.5 mph
Tyre standards
- ✓Minimum 1.5" width with off-road tread
- ✓No sidewall cuts or abrasions
- ✓Rim intact — no cracks. All spokes tight and present.
E-Bike Policy
E-bikes are welcome as EAPC (electrically assisted pedal cycle). Motor must not propel the bike beyond 15.5 mph. Throttle-only assist bikes are not permitted.
04 — Before every session
Pre-Ride Inspection
Run through this before your first run and after any crash, however minor. Click each item to mark it done.

- ✓Front & Rear AxlesQuick release or bolt-through, fully tight before each run.
- ✓Headset & StemNo looseness or play. Grip bars, rock the fork, any movement means tighten before riding.
- ✓Brakes — Pads & LeversSufficient pad remaining. Both levers responsive. Confirm you can fully stop before entering any trail.
- ✓Tyres — Condition & PressureAdequate tread, no sidewall damage. Check rim integrity and that all spokes are intact.
- ✓Handlebars & GripsBars fully tight, no rotation. Grips secure. Bar ends plugged, open bar ends not permitted.
- ✓Seat & SeatpostFastened securely. If dropper post, confirm it engages and releases cleanly at both ends.
- ✓PedalsBoth pedals tight, no excessive play. Toe strap fastenings are not permitted.
- ✓Suspension & Fork & Rear ShockGood working order, no oil leaks, no loose bolts on stanchions or linkage.
- ✓Helmet & Fit & ConditionProperly adjusted, straps snug under chin. No visible cracks or damage. EN1078 minimum.
- ✓Protection GearGloves, knee pads, eye protection, all on and correctly positioned before entering the trail.
- ✓After a Crash, Re-inspect EverythingEven a minor fall can compromise frame integrity, bar alignment, and brake function. Always re-check before the next run.
